An internship is a great way to expand your skills and learn new things while contributing to a worthy cause. Interns at GCI work in small groups which is a good opportunity to learn from each other. We are looking for interns who can bring skills to GCI, but who are also interested in learning.
This page contains information for Cameroonian interns. Interns from abroad should see the International Internships page.
Applicants should state their nationality clearly on their application.
Qualification
Interns must be computer literate and fluent in English. We look for candidates who can work independently within a team. You should use your initiative to drive projects forward with minimal supervision. You should have some knowledge of human rights and a desire to learn more.
Time Period
Interns must stay for at least three to six months unless otherwise agreed.
Nature of Work
Interns work on various GCI projects. See the Project Guide for more information.
All internships involve fieldwork and office work. Interns must be equally committed to both as the combination makes projects successful.
Funding
Unfortunately we cannot pay for the work of interns during office and field placements. Interns must solicit from elsewhere funds for travel, accommodation and living expenses during the internship period. GCI arranges for accommodation at 100,000 CFA (About 300.00USD) per month. Cameroonian interns pay a fee of 10,000 CFA to cover administrative and fieldwork costs.
Copyright
The copyright of all written documents prepared by interns in the course of their work shall be the property of Global Conscience.
