Ahead of the Global Conscience 4 th Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for December 13, 2008 , GCI is soliciting your assistance to nominate members to the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors serves as the policy making body of GCI. The election of the Director is based on outstanding qualifications, unselfish dedication, and a willingness to promote a culture of democracy, human rights, the rule of law and access to justice in Cameroon and beyond.
Each Director serves as a leader in motivating support for established policy, serves to develop new policy, and serves to obtain support for GCI's programs. A Director should provide an objective point of view on issues affecting the membership and the profession, which should facilitate a thorough discussion and analysis of each problem considered by the Board, followed by responsible action and support of the actions taken by a majority Board vote.
a. Requirements for Board of Directors
Be resident in Cameroon
Show support and commitment to the mission and vision of GCI
Partcipate in GCI Board meetings
Be available by phone and by other electronic communications
Abide by GCI Bylaws
Pay FCFA 50.000 (US$ 125.00)
b. Requirements for Advisory Board
Be of any nationality and resident any where on earth
Show support and commitment to the mission and vision of GCI
Be available by phone and email.
