February 2008 Massive Killings in Cameroon: ACHPR Seized
Good news!!! the African Commission of Human Rights has decided to be seized by a GCI communication against the state of Cameroon in the massive killing of armless citizens during the February 2008 nation wide social unrest. At least 100 individuals were killed by armed soldiers and the government did, and is doing nothing to investigate and sanction the killings. GCI in May this year brought the matter before the commission and at its last session, the commission decided to be seized of the complaint. The seizure decision was formally notified GCI only today through GCI's legal officer, Barrister Nkea Junior. GCI has three months from now to file in submissions for admissibility of the case before the commission.
